I also got a new card.

I'm up to a 25.3 now. Previously I was in the 24 range. I think you get a new pin only when you jump into the next "10 point" level.

My new pin simply has "25" on it. My old one had "24".

      Hi,
I was pleased to see the envelope with the pin when I got home from Wildwood too.
I agree with Chuck; just the 'level' on the pin with the precise number of points earned, on the card.
Thanks to those who WORK to make these things happen!
      Regards,
      Alan

        Hi Alan.

I miss youze guys too, although life is good here in "The Swamp".

I'll probably be accused of being prejudiced, but I think that the Mason Dixon NCRS Chapter is the finest group of individuals I've ever been associated with.

Just to continue on with Dave's B question: I know there was a time when the hang tags for the pins had a decimal number on them; i.e. 23.4 and the like. I suspect for the PITA reasons Dave mentions that is no longer the case.

You guys are lucky to get a new hanger from time to time. Some of us don't. Sorry the devil made me do it.

I heard a rumor Terry was an OJ at Wildwood.

                      I heard the same rumor.

The judges must have had an incredible level of experience if Terry could only find an OJ spot.

Thanks to you, my friend, I did make my flight to Charlotte where it was two days of aviating and then five days layover at my favorite destination...home. Wildwood was a fantastic event put on by fantastic folks. I surely did enjoy myself and I'll always be able to say you were my OJ.

Now it's on to the home state of the one, the only, Patrick Hulst, MD.

                          Dave,
I knew of the plastic trick -- I heard about using plastic wrap. The same principal, I suspect. That car has never been clayed -- I just never had the time, so you guys were blazing the trail.

I think a day without learning something is a wasted day. And that gives me an opening for my favorite expression: The only thing more expensive than a good education is NO education.

I appreciate your offer of help with the Advanced Judging Seminars. Anytime you do not have a judging assignment I can use your skills.

BTW: I sent you a PM a few days ago. I hope it came through.

                            Dave,

The answer to question A is that we send out about 900 upgrades a year, or approximatel 900 people had a level change and it has been that way for years. Sometimes the level change is brought on by as few as 1 point, and sometimes it takes 10, just depends on where you were the last time the level bar was issued. If you got a level 5 but were really 59 points you only needed 1 point to get to level 6 or 60 points. Conversely if you were a level 5 at 50 points you needed 10 points to get to level 6 or 60 points.
