what is the correct sealant to use to hold the large foam peice that the tack cable goes thru. Seems at one time it was removed and I am taking it the cable goes thru this foam peice. Amazing its not all dried out, Looks almost like weather strip material. I can see it was sealed with what looks like some form of a putty? I am trying to redo the seals on the firewall, so far Krytox has softened all of them back to life, that stuff is just amazing.
There appears to be a larger hole in the firewall on the drivers side of the tack rubber gasket were the cable was run. I am thinking either there was something else thru it, or the cable just wore a little of the fiberglass away, anyone have pics of what is should look like?
