    1967 knobs

Does anyone know where I can get original dash knobs for a 67? The wiper, cig lighter and headlight.

    Thanks

    Re: 1967 knobs

    Jeremy,
Back in the 1980's I did have some 1967 dash parts including the knobs. I have a box of dash parts somewhere in my garage attic. I will check when I get a chance in the next couple of days.

Hi there. I believe I have a FULL set of NOS knobs in the GM boxes if you or anyone is interested. I will check Monday, but email me if you are interested and I will confirm. Thanks. ARA or call me. 561-445-0232

          Re: 1967 knobs

          Dave,
I just ran across this thread while searching to verify the part numbers on the dash and radio knobs for my early(sept 66) 1967 with A/C
I came up with the same part numbers for all knobs as you did in your May 19, 2011 post. These knobs are the same ones that were on the car when i bought it in 1969.
What is puzzling to me is that althougth the part numbers listed in the AIM under UPC1 section E6 for the heater control knobs match the knobs I have, the part numbers listed for the knobs shown for the A/C and heater controls listed in UPC60 page E4 are different even though the function and manner of attachment appear the same as without the A/C. Does anyone with an A/C car have these other knobs which appear to have part numbers 3875810(there are 3 of these called for. They appear to screw on same as the 3899700) and 3875803( there is one of these called for. It appears to be held on with a set screw same as 3899701)? If someone can post some pictures that might be helpful. Is it possible that the AIM A/C section still listed the part numbers for the 1966 knobs?
          Neal

            Neal,

Both the 1966 AIM and the P&A catalogs show GM 3875810 Knob Asm. (UPC C60-E4, item 3 in the '67 AIM) and GM 3875808 Knob Asm. (UPC C60-E4, item 10 in the '67 AIM) as being for the 1966 model year, and the 1966 knobs were entirely different from the 1967 knobs, so unless I'm missing something, the 1967 AIM is in error on these two items. I think Item 3 should be GM 3899700 knob and Item 10 should be GM 3899701.

              Scott,
Thanks for validating the conclusion that I had reached. The 1967 AIM is incorrect regarding the dash knobs.

                Neal,

I went through this same exercise a few months ago, when I noticed the embossed part numbers on the back of the knobs didn't match the p/n call-outs on UPC C60-E4. I think it's just the AIM's way of seeing whether we're paying attention

                  Neal,

                  67 CORVETTE..................KNOB, blower, temp., air inlet..........3899701
My 1969 Chev. Parts Catalog (Oct. 68) added "w/C.A.C." as follows:
67 CORVETTE w/C.A.C.......KNOB, defr., temp., air div. valve.....3899700

                  In Gr. 9.787:
67 CORVETTE (exc. C.A.C.).....KNOB, air vent control rod and tube.....3899206
