67 tele upper barring questions

is the upper barring retainer, and housing the same on any other GM columns. I am really in need of just the retainer. can the barring be glued in the pot metal piece?

but some update I got the shaft to lock in place. now I got to get all the parts to put this thing back together

Kieyh I may have a spare new one, I'll check on Friday when I get back into town if I do I'll mail it to you for free. I just rebuilt mine and I'm pretty sure I have a spare.

That would be great. But were did you get a new one. I don't see them being listed in any catalog

I had a upper bearing issue with a early '67 column a while ago. I bought the SC-539 bearing from Zip, and later discovered it "cannot" be installed in the housing. I could not understand how the old one comes out without destroying the housing. The lower bearing was bad, but the upper was actually ok.

This was on a standard column, but the above bearing also fits 65-66 tele columns.
