In removing the grille teeth, we noticed that the markings were different on the underside of them. Are they originals or repos? Any ideas?

Re: 1957 grille teeth
Total 13 teeth. ORIGINALS were numbered 1, 4 , 5 and 6 inside as you show. The center tooth was marked 'C' , then three #1 teeth, and then one each 4, 5, and 6 are mounted to the outside. I think you have a #5 but I can not tell with these old eyes.
The three outer teeth are progresively smaller. Service replacement teeth may show a "nose" less pointed than originals.Over 80 Corvettes of fun ! Love Rochester Fuel Injection 57-65 cars. Love CORVETTE RACE CARS

Re: 1957 grille teeth
The left unit says BLC then 3/08 and somthing else. My vote this is the REPO. The right photo is the ORIGINAL and has the GM Part number inside left and possibily #5 stamped in the end, which means it would fit on the #2 position on the grill bar from outside either side.Over 80 Corvettes of fun ! Re: 1957 grille teeth
Nice iowa...looks like ours does. Even to the point of under the window
We seem to have some extra numbered ones and missing others numbers. I have read about them not being "sharp" enough with repo or rechomimg. Looking at grilleteeth.com for replacements- Top
