'76-'79 corvette rear emblem lengths

The early 1976 rear corvette emblem is approx. 6 1/4" long and the later '76 - '79 is 8 1/4" long -- correct?

I do not recall the lengths, but I think you are correct------the latter emblem was longer than the earlier. Also, the height of the characters was greater in the later versus the earlier. I believe the earlier were ABOUT 3/4" tall and the later ABOUT 1" tall.

The earlier emblem was used with early 1976 bumpers that had a "depression" for the emblem plate. The later 1976 through 1979 bumper had no "depression" for the emblem plate.
