63 Rear Spindles LH or RH?

How do you tell which Rear Spindle Housing is the Left and which is the Right. Both look to be the Same! Can they be assembled to Torque Control Arms incorrectly?

Look at the lower mounting tabs for the shock mount. There will be a flat on each on. Tje flat goes to the rear.

I looked ,but did not find flat on the tabs!
Looks like the inside Machined face could be a little deeper on one side. Is that what you are talking about?

If you look at the hole in the two tabs/legs of your spindles one of the holes will have a flat on the bottom and not be perfectly round. that is the locator for the shock mount. The flats go to the rear of the car. Look at your shock mounts. The end that goes through the spindle housing and gets the castle nut will have a flat on it.

I can't recall, but isn't there a casting part# on them. If so isn't Odd# left, Even# right?

The spindle supports are Left & Right. They cannot be interchanged. There is a part number on it.

The casting number on the bearing supports is 3820843N. The same number is on both supports. They were machined differently. The notch to the rear.

Thanks for the Help Guys. Found the flats you are talking about. It helps to know what to look for.
