The three tags that Ed has shown are correct and they are made from aluminum. When they went to the steering column, they were stainless and spot welded. No pop rivets. Donald you tag appears to be a reproduction to me. The raised ridge goes all around except where the spot welds are. Here's a photo of my VIN tag; like the ones shown in Ed's reply. It's an early '60, so the VIN tag is mounted inside the driver's door jamb. Hope this helps.
