I took 21 years to find the carb and then spend the $$$ to purchase a 2818s for my early 1960 build car. It looks great, but it appears that the restorer used silver paint on the cad parts and the connecting rods and black paint on the choke cover. I hope the paint holds up in the heat. I noticed that the choke cover does not have an "index mark" on it like the WCFB I am currently using (3061s).
Should the choke cover have a mark?
I searched all over the throttle body for a stamped part number; found none. i thought all throttle bodies would have part number.
What does the carb to air cleaner gasket look like?
