blower control switch not turning off rear blower

On my fan switch on my console of my 64 factory AC coupe, when turned on for heat or air conditioning it is supposed to turn off the rear blower. It does not do that. We have new harness from Lectric Limited with air conditioning harness...and original blower switch on console and on rear fan, so do we have our wires crossed up somehow so it 's not turing off the rear blower when the console fan is engaged? I thought it might be in my old console fan switch, so i bought a re-po switch...but it has a relay built into it that I don't recal seeing in the wiring harness. My understanding was the wiringg harness has the componants built into it to make the rear fan not blow when the console fan was on. What am I missing here? Thanks for all replys! Phone calls appreciated too! 865-389-1837

    John -

That "turn-off" function is built into the front heater blower switch. The single brown wire that exits the rear harness and connects to the back side of the heater blower switch provides power to the rear blower switch on the blower; the terminal spade it connects to on the heater blower switch should be "hot" with the switch in the "off" position, and should be "dead" with the switch in any of the "on" positions.

John, Thnaks for the info...body replacement switch has 30 amp relay wired to switch. Do we use that with the new harness, or take that part off. You can see what we bought at www.volvette.com and the part numer is DA91G...you can see the switch and the relay. Thanks,

I don't recognize the added wiring and relay they show attached to both reproduction switch/cable assemblies (with and without A/C); the original assemblies didn't have any of that. Must relate to some electrical modification they supply instructions for.
