Re: spring clips on PVC hose
Dave,
I found the bag of NOS clamps. Not many left. Here's what I have.
4 NOS black PCV/vacuum line hose clamps. Only one has the diamond with the letter U. Three have squared ends. One has rounded ends. The one with rounded ends is the only one that has the diamond with the letter U.
5 NOS green (dark olive drab) fuel line hose clamps. Three have the diamond/U and square ends.
One has square ends but no diamond/U. One has rounded ends but no diamond/U.
I really don't think anyone can say, with certainty, that any/all original clamps absolutely had to be a certain configuration. I would have to guess that GM had more than one supplier for these clamps. Or, possibly, one supplier had more than one machine that did the stamping.
I found all my spring clamps as well. All 20 spring clamps have the square ends and all 20 have the letter "U" inside a "diamond".
6 NOS 3786276 olive green in GM wrappers (about 1980's vintage, I believe) for fuel line (measure about 0.63" O.D., 0.31" wide)
7 Used 3786276 olive green for fuel line
4 Used black spring clamps for PCV valve (measure about 0.70" O.D., 0.375" wide)
3 Used (currently unknown) black spring clamps (measure about 0.58" O.D., 0.31" wide)
I will have to research the 3 smaller spring clamps.

Re: spring clips on PVC hose
Dave, I know its BB 66/7 Chevelle but that's the limit to my non Corvette AIMS to know the probability that its a 68 part.
From the valve configuration, that is my estimate.
Also we did not see so much ribbing on those hoses as we did on the original 66 hoses.- Top
