      Hi Jerry, there different , but only slighty from what I have researched in past. The hood pop up is stronger or longer? I think there were some post in the older post history archives that I found when I was restoring mine last year. I have it in my notes somewere.......I will try to look it up if no one chimes in for more info......

              Yes, they are different. Pop-ups are larger wire dia and fewer turns which makes them higher rate and stronger. They're easily differentiated from teh male latch pin springs. Sorry I can't give you more specific data, but my car is not easily accessible right now.
