56 hood hinges

hello
about done w my engine bay restro
(see my i0wa 56 thread)

here is one of the hinges
were the 'notched' mounting holes stock?
they seem to be factory cut

Apparently most of them were. My 57 is notched. Pretty crude, but that is the way they were. I guess they did whatever it took to make them work. -Dan-

Yep, same on my 56 hinges.
Until this very second, I always thought (for 38 yrs) they bubba modified------------I guess not! Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
