    Correct paint inside a 65

I am about to have my 65 painted and am curious about what is the correct method for painting the underside of the rear hatch. Mine has, what appears to be, original paint (blue) sprayed on the hatch release handle, the hatch release cable, the hinges, and underside of the lid. Is this correct?

Martin, Yes that is correct and it will appear as an unbuffed lacquer finish. This does not mean dull or flat finish. If your original is intact take a picture and reporduce that appearance.

Martin my blue 65 i left the original paint as is under the decklid ,this could be another option for you then you wont have to worry about matching it and your painter can simply mask the area. jim
