Can anyone let me know where I can find a clutch for 1989 six speed corvette?

    Thanks.

An easy one. The GM clutch parts are discontinued. However, you can obtain a complete clutch kit as manufactured by LUK. You want their Repset #04-113. This includes pressure plate, friction disc, release bearing, and pilot bushing. Everything you need to replace the clutch. This is an OEM-quality unit and might even be the exact same thing that GM once had available.

However, if you need a flywheel, that's another matter. The "dual mass" flywheel used with all 1989-96 Corvettes is GM-discontinued and not currently available in the aftermarket although a solid replacement is available. A "dual mass" flywheel cannot be surfaced.

          Hey Mike:

Nice to see you finally made it to the NCRS Technical Discussion Board. Hope all is going well for you, Julie and family.

With regard to your clutch question, SPEC Stage 1 clutch is a good clutch and not terribly expensive. Also, as mentioned above, LUK is fine, stock replacement clutch and you can get a Sachs clutch kit for $199 + S&H. Kevlar costs about $100 more. Finally, Keisler has a number of clutch options including a kit for about $250, here's the link:

Good luck with your clutch project.

          Pete.
