    color preferences

All other things being equal, how would colors of 2 '67 big block coupes rate in CURRENT color preferences against each other, and more importantly against other colors available in '67:mosport green /white stinger/white interior;maroon/black stinger/black interior?Maybe take interior colors out of equation but white in the green car does add appeal, IMO.Just asking for opinions.
    Thanks

I love both colors, but I can tell you from spending my whole life in a dealership that the maroon car would sell the quickest in most cases. At least from my experience.

They didn't call red paints "resale red" for nothing!

I am not sure if it matters but Mossport Green was only available in 1966.

I don't know if 67 Marlboro Maroon is different from my 70's Marlboro Maroon, but the first thing most people tell me is "I love that (exterior) color."

Not sure where I read this but Goodwood Green was supposedly the most popular color for '67. It does lend a classic look to the simplified lines and least amount of chrome for that model year.

Would also agree as to the White interior. Most would have had either Black, Tan interiors or my favorite Green on Green.
The White interiors usually looked best on a White or Red body.
            Just my .02.

I like Maroon, it seems to change colors in different light. At times it looks red or a candy apple color.

Right- the '67 green was "Goodwood". I know there are a lot of very good '67's in green and maroon, but point is ,TODAY you don't see these colors on many or any (not offered on new Corvettes) newer performance cars and wondered if these colors might not be as desireable now as some others are. Chime in even if opinions are like noses(or other anatomical part)-everyone has one.

I agree, seems like Goodwood green and Marlboro Maroon were very popular in the mid-late 60's and very European inspired. It may have been a clear effort back in the day to align the Corvette with the equity of the established European sports cars.

Today's sports car colors tend to be bright, bold with rich deep metallics, almost Japanese "tuner-market" inspired. Maroon seems to have gone the way of the dinosaur? Although, I think Mustang colors have done a good job combining the "Fast And Furious" look with retro 70's TransAm racing color scheme-very bold and exciting.

Personaly, I don't know how you could ever beat black with bright red interior! Very sharp combo.

That's my 2 cents worth anyhow

As you drive down the road count the modern day maroon color vehicles.
                      There are tons of them.

I would wonder how many are sports cars and demographic?

"You can't go wrong with blue." a quote from me.

The most popular color purchased today is silver according to the magazines.

Me personally I love all the colors thats cause I get to paint them and make them look nice!!! But seriously most people who come to me looking for a 67 say the bottom choices for colors are green, maroon or yellow .In todays market I think color combination will play a strong role in price and even if you buy a car with what is conciderd to be a low desriabile color if you have a colerd interior it will help. That is what I see most people looking for is interior color and material upgrades from stock.

Good point! I'd say most aren't sports cars.
