I just discovered that the cover is missing from the relay on my 1960. A quick look on e-bay and a general Internet search did not identify any relays for sale. Any suggestions on where to search or who to call? I can purchase a replacement relay, but would hate to spend $60 and the cover not fit my original relay.

Re: C1 Neutral Safety Switch Relay
I wish it was that easy. Mary Jo sent me an e-mail and said that the horn relay cover is smaller than the starter motor relay cover. I measured the base of the starter motor relay and the base of the horn relay and they appear to be the same. However, the horn relay has wrap around tabs on each end and this would not work on the starter motor relay because there are contacts coming out of both ends. I believe the starter motor relay cover must tabs on the sides.- Top

Re: C1 Neutral Safety Switch Relay
Methinks he didn't say he was looking for a powerglide relay, that he was looking for a COVER for a powerglide relay, and that the lid from a horn relay might work, with necessary modifications. I do believe I read it right in the first place.- Top

Re: C1 Neutral Safety Switch Relay
Joe,
I'm sitting here comparing the #781 horn relay, an original #904 relay and the 904 replacement from Corvette Central.
* the 781 cover is smaller in length and width. No way to make it fit.
* the replacement 904 cover appears to be identical to the original (less markings); including the 2 tab locations. this is the way to go.- Top

Re: C1 Neutral Safety Switch Relay
That confirms what Mary Jo stated. She had a starter relay cover for $25. It is on the way.
Las, how does the starter relay cover connect to the relay? Tabs on the sides? I want to make sure I install the "new" cover securely (if possible) so that it won't fall off again.- Top
