    Cam ID

Would like some help identifying a cam. It has the number 1137 stamped on the box, FBG is stamped on the box, the following all are (or as best as I can make them out) cast into the cam from top to bottom, D6, 18, K1, then on the other side I saw a C and CWC. The K1 has red paint on it. One end of the cam has the letter P stamped into it with a yellow, very small dab of paint. Not in a GM tube, but a box with not much identification. Overall length is 21 3/8.
Any help you can give would be much appreciated. Thanks.

    Re: Cam ID

All I can tell you off the top of my head is that it is probablyh a fairly recent cam - no more than about 20 years old - and the core is from the CWC division of Textron, which is the sole source of cam cores for most vintage engines. There is only one for small blocks! Even GM uses them, and in actuality, GM vintage cams are made by Crane. The other numbers probably denote the kind of engine and specifics of the cam.

Is this a small block, big block, or some other engine?

I assume "FGB" is the manufacturer, but I can't turn that into a name, and "1137" is probably their part number.

Thanks Duke. Is there any other information that I can provide to help ID?
