I just had my 70 judged at the Wildwood regional and the check valves were definately judged. Further the judges looked for them being taped just like the vacuum lines. Luckily I had mine done.

1970 - Serial #16717 - July 27 build date - Washer hoses have tape on one way check valve tees which are white / black - also tape on main washer tee feed line to each side branch.

1969 - Serial #17820 - March 03 build date - Will have to check on tape situation - both check valve tees are black.

Mid-march original-owner 1970 has in disturbed original valves with no indication of ever being taped. No residue, stickiness, etc. (#6243)
