'67 L88 Car Shipper paperwork -- is this car known ?

eBay, of course; $75000. to buy-it-now. And it's a copy (made long ago) of the original paper -- the owner or dealer may still have the actual document .

You pay attention to who the seller is. The morning show host on KDAV, the former resident of 3414 Quirt Ave in Lowbuck TX, the proprietor of Chevycraft, Bill C aka Billy Clements! Purveyor of "authentic" POP docs, trim tags, and block stamps.

The blocked out numbers appear to be 546.

There have to be 4 blocked out numbers to make it a complete VIN. If it's 5484, it was at Bloomington Gold Special Collection '88. I don't have my info handy that contains a description of the car.

Dug out my copy of the 1988 'Special Collection V' booklet and I agree; of all the '67 convertibles, 194677S115484 seems to be the only one that matches.

Here's a real car shipper for a 66 for comparison. The character styles appear to be the same. The sheet layout is different though. Possibly different for 67?

                  Dennis,

He does have an interesting way with words. Here's the portion of the eBay description I liked the best:

"so these treasures need to find new homes.risk a plane ticket and if its not exactly as i say,i pay tickets, room, whisky and dancing girls"

With a guarantee like that, how can you lose?

                  Joe

"C" is a Texas Legend (in the LowBuck area) I remember him cashing checks for wives on a road tour outside the Imperial Palace in Vegas about one in the morning cira '92 - '93

also the 90's red SS surbaban with the chopped top and 454 2:18 ?? took 2 miles to get up to speed and would do everything on the speedo and give change back can't print what he had imprinted on the VIN plate on the Forum

Not many left like Bill C

I think that Robby and Billy C were friends, if my memory serves me. Robby owned several L/88's back in the '80's and early '90's

Z problem for us as you guys remenisce is that these docs (ex the owners manuals he has for sale on the flee) sit with an owner or two and then get pawned off as originals 20 years down the road.
