Does the odometer still work? It's driven by a little motor that is independent of the speedo needle. If it still works, you have a cluster problem.
thanks for the heads up. no the odo does not work when the speedo does not work. the "service engine soon'"light come on after a few miles of the speedo not working. some times it works and some time it does not as you can start out with it not working and a few miles down the road it kicks in. once it is working it does not stop until you shut off the engine and then restart it.

These sensors are also available under Delco #213-194 and 213-3513, respectively. I am very confident that in this case the GM and Delco parts system pieces are identical.

Top 2 on the right if I remeber right..look into the connector..there is only a couple of wires in it..there are 2 in line on a corner..it depends on how it was bolted in..those will make the check engine light flash..I have a old brick that has all that diag stuff in it if you need help with that also..

Clem, when you ground the dia. connector it will flash code 12 three times then the next series of flashes are the code. I don't know if you did this?It will do this for each code stored in the computer.

By the way I looked for the sensor today with no luck, sorry. Ed

no problem as the AC delco sensors are on amazon for $35 including shipping. i used to check these codes back in the day but it has been 20 years since i have done it.
