    Lawrence,

    Has this skip just started or did it begin with the overhaul of the engine? I agree that the reproduction wires may be the problem, that's where I would look. If the skip was carburetor related the problem would have been there from the beginning.

    Also, check the routing of the wires as #8 and #4 and #5 and #7 should not be next to each other in the rubber grommets, in fact I think they are on the ends of the grommets. If you search the archives there is info on the ohm ratings for the different length plug wires that may help.

      Car runs fine now. I played with the timing and installed the correct vacuum canister.

      Car runs fine down low Duke...chugs up my driveway at 500 rpm if I let it. 3.70 gear must help.
