    NOS 1967-1970 Master Cylinder Cap???

I bought this "shelf worn" NOS master cylinder cap at a swap meet many years ago with a bunch of other NOS parts. I have compared it to an original 1967 Corvette master cylinder cap and it appears to be identical including all the stampings. My question is it the correct cap for a 1970 master cylinder w/PB. The stampings are located in 8 different places and are as follows:
"USE", "DELCO", SAE J1703", and "BRAKE FLUID" on one side and
"SERVICE", "WITH", "DELCO", and "PARTS" on the other side.

I will get it replated if it is correct for my 1970 Camaro SS350 project.

    Hi Dave

This is correct for 69 and up to I think 72 or 73.

USE", "DELCO", SAE J1703", and "BRAKE FLUID"
    "SERVICE", "WITH", "DELCO", and "PARTS"

The above is correct for your 70 Mastercylinder.

Below is correct for 67 and 68

    "SERVICE", "WITH", "DELCO", and "PARTS"
    USE Delco Brake Fluide

Does not have J1703 for 67 and 68

    Hope this helps. Grant

      Grant,

You are right about the stampings, etc. The part number of my cap is 5455517 and with its stampings it is also correct for 1969 Camaros, Chevelles, and Novas w/disc brakes & P.B., 1970 Corvettes, and a 70 Passenger cars w/disc brakes but will NOT fit on a 1970 Camaro master cylinder (disc brakes & P.B.) since it is a different shape. Thanks for your help.

      Dave
