63 front bumper bracket difference?

I usta' know all this kinda' stuff off the top of my head, but the ole' mind is gettin' worser.

I can't recall what makes the front center bumper brackets unique on the earlier mid years. Actually I was thinking that the 63 was one year only, but looking at the catalogue of my favorite vendor earlier, they list the 63/64 as one pair of part numbers and the 65-67 as another.

I pulled all four sets of mine today that are not on cars and I've either got all 63's, or all later, and at least 2 sets of mine came off 63 cars for sure. The other 2 I can't remember.

Its because 63-64 are the same shape, and they dont have real 63s, which are much thicker.

Thickness difference aside, how is the shape of the 63/64 bracket different from the later midyears?

The 63-64 has a large curved area as it goes through the grille. The 65-67 is more straight.
