Does anyone know when the "0" on hiperformance rocker arms was first used? Thanks Phil

Phil
Michael is most likely correct or very close as I show that they entered the parts system in 5-64 under part #3843359, so production sometime in 1963.
Also, about that same time, the hardened tip pushrods #3796243 became available.

Re: Rocker arms
the hardened tip push rods are hardened only on one end so always make sure the that tip is up. new ones have a blue stripe on the hard end and if you look close you can see the hardened insert that is not on the other end.- Top

Re: Rocker arms
Just out of curiousity, I looked in my old July 63 printing of the parts book and the 3843359 is listed. It probably entered production several months prior to that time.
I think the 3796243 pushrod was around during the latter part of 62 model year production.- Top

I'm sure that you are correct. I just checked the history section to see when they actually referenced the change in part Numbers. The pushrod was earlier than the rocker arm. And good point to Clem - I should have said that only one end is hardened ( with a blue or black stripe) and that it goes up to the rocker arm.
