'68 Wiper Motor

    '68 Wiper Motor

    Can someone tell me if this wiper motor is correct for a '68 built in mid-December '67?
    On the end of the motor is stamped Type C
    12 volt

    Under it and upside down is stamed 5044683
    ASS'Y

    The main body on the front side DELCO PRODUCTS
    - GM -

    On the back side DELCO PRODUCTIONS
    ROCHESTER.N.Y.
    MADE IN U.S.A.

    Yes, it's a 1968 Corvette wiper motor. In fact, the GM #5044683 wiper motor assembly was unique to 1968 Corvettes.

      Thanks Joe, that's what I wanted to hear.
      The aluminum casting is cracked around one of the mounting bosses. Is this part common or will it be difficult to find. Any idea where I can get one?

        I believe the housings are the same for at least 68-72 but I'm not 100% sure. The housings were never available from GM as a separate part. You should be able to repair the one you have using Muggyweld rod.
