Length of 1974 A/C Compressor Belt (350cid)

Most Corvette catalogues have only one number for the 1974 350 A/C compressor belt. Local shops say there are two possibilities: 2585 (58.5") for hi-perf (I assume L-82) and 2575 (57.5") for base. I have an L-48. Anyone know which is correct?

GM says that belt GM #9433770 was used for the compressor belt for all 1974 Corvettes with small block. This belt was 15/32" X 58". I don't think you'll find a 15/32" wide belt today except, possibly, in a reproduction belt.

Very early 1974 Corvettes with small block may have used belt GM #330587. However, I have no information on this belt.

Thanks Joe,

I checked the price of getting a #9433770 belt into Canada and it will run me about $80.00. So I put a Gates #15585 on the car ($18.00). Same length at 58.5" but a little narrower at 7/16" (14/32). It will be fine for my purposes and seems to fit and function with no problem.
