What a beautiful day in San Diego! Sorry to those of you who are experiencing the "never ending winter" but today I got to take my daughter out for a cruise along the 101, watch the surf, and get another kid hooked on the joy of the Corvette! Life is good.

Re: The Joys of Life
Nothing could be finer than San Diego weather! I was stationed there for 2 years (94-96) and it was great! Also spent a lot of time in the Orange County area and still have a house there that will eventually become our winter home. Perhaps then I will get to enjoy that winter sunshine as well!

Re: The Joys of Life
Agreed - what could be better than sharing your passions with those you love.
As for kids and Corvettes, I get the most satisfaction when a young kid approaches to talk about our Corvettes. You can recognize the ones who have the Corvette stare - they're in awe... gotta love it! I hope that the fondness for early Corvettes I share with my boys will carry on for years to come... Oh, for the love of these rough riding, foul smelling, growling, bucking and barking dream machines!
Seattle's gray weather is getting the best of me, although our family is looking at relocating in SoCal. If we pull the trigger, I'm looking fwd to more drive time and the year-round car culture.- Top

Re: The Joys of Life
Hi Rob,
I believe that God made it so kids (and dogs) know GREAT cars as soon as they see them. (And also, how to get a ride; and maybe some ice cream.)
Very Good Picture!

Re: The Joys of Life
Hi Rob,
Yes, as Chip Miller used to say, "Life is Good!". Yesterday I repurchased the 1962 corvette that I met and dated my wife in and sold in the early 1970's. A very good friend, now deceased, owned it for the past 35+ years. His brother was gracious to sell it back to me as part of the estate. The color has changed along with a few minor ""hot rod" improvements but it is still the car I purchased as a starry eyed 18 year old right out of high school. I'll never forget that first drive in the evening and the glow of the 160 mph speedometer and the four gauges. It still brings back many fond memories for my bride and myself.
