1972 Wiper arm assembly color?

Can anyone tell me what the original color was on the wiper arms and linkage assembly for a 72 Corvette? Unfortunately by the time I acquired mine there are least 3 different colors of overspray on them from hasty paint jobs.

Hi Scott,
From looking at my 71 coupe (original paint) I'd say at least the wiper transmissions, the 2 windshield support brackets, and the center wiper blade 'stop', were in place when the black-out was done for the wiper bay. So semi-flat black is what would be seen over what ever other finish they may have had?
You can see that there's no black paint where those parts are mounted.
The transmission arms on my 71 were black too.
You can also see how 'thin' the black-out was in some areas where the red almost shines through.
