'72 tail light harness

A while ago I took the rear of my car apart to freshen it up. The harness that services the tail lights was attached by tie-wraps. At the time I took little notice of how it should be attached.

This morning, after putting the bumper brackets and bumpers on I decided to put the harness back. I saw that there were plastic clips integrated into the harness. Two on the left and two on the right. The AIM shows nothing of thse clips.

Where do they attach to? and what is the appropriate fastner?

As a sideline, any suggestions on freshening the look of the harness??

Lynn it has been a while but if I remember they were attached to the studs of rear tail lights and backup lights.

Thanks for pointing out what should have been obvious, it was the end of a long day and the holes in the clips looked smaller than the studs on the tail light housing. I should have checked the hole again after not finding an answer in the AIM.

Any hints of freshening the look of the harness? Just clean t up or go through the trouble of re-taping it? thanks!!
