Why three date codes on one distributor?

My original one-owner HEI distributor has three dates - 5B19 stamped into the aluminium distrubutor housing + 5B18 stamped into the plastic coil cover + the remnants of what appears to be 5C5 in a white ink stamp on the top of the coil cover next to the yellow inspection dot. Was the housing made on 2/19/75, the coil cover a day earlier on 2/18 and then the whole assembly ink stamped two weeks later on 3/5? I'm confused, so any help would be appreciated.

I don't usually judge 1975s, but that progression seems plausible to me.
