engine pad number

newbie here and trying to decode the engine pad # on my 59. I think the block is a '61 283, and the pad has the following nbrs:

1102141 FI0T8DJ

My vin is J59S104164, and the engine does have the 2x4's, one with the carb tag and correct nbr., and it is a PG trans.

That engine was originally installed in '61 Corvette #2141 (engine assembled 10/18/60, car produced 10/27/60); the "DJ" suffix was used for '58-'61 283/245hp 2x4 Powerglides.

I think your engine assy date stamp is FI0I8DJ not FI0T8DJ, as John noticed too.

Interesting, my '59 has a '61 Corvette 283 in it too. When I bought it 25 years ago I knew it was NOM but I didn't care. I had to have it!

Coincidence, my engine info:
1102436 FI026CU = '61 car #2436 eng assy Oct 26,1960 270hp 4speed....just a few days apart. My cyl block cast date is J200(Oct 20, 1960)

I wonder if the cars are related!
