    Hi Brad,
If nothing else we will get your post back on top.
I am attaching a few pictures from my 57 bowtie car that may help.
I would think that a 58 would be the same install.

Hi Dave, Thanks for the reply, the AIM says that carpet covers the rails, is that mean the carpet runs over the top of the bolts and up against the sides of the feet on both sides, am not getting this, does this also mean that the whole frame work would be installed so as to but the carpet up against and over the bolts and feet? Thanks, Brad.

        Brad
The answers are yes and yes. The frame is under the carpet not on top.

Hi Terry, Is the carpet left loose at these areas so the frame can be slid into poisition then cut around feet, or is frame set on top of carpet (still loose) marking feet then cut and then frame installed, then carpet glued in place around and over bolts? would like to see this procedure, pics or video would be best. Thank you again, Brad.

            Hi Brad,
I am attaching a few more pictures for you.
Bolt the frame down to the floor and bring the carpet up over the bolt heads upto the mounting brackets. Do not glue the carpet near the frame so you can get to the bolt heads

                Hi Brad
Paragon has some videos about carpet installation on YouTube which I think are good.
