    C1 Breakerless points

Unless the judges pop off the distributor cap, I sure would like to put breaker-less points in my 57. Can anyone suggest a company that makes a compatible product and if judges really look under the cap?

Our judging rules require the owner to be the one who removes components (like ignition shielding, air cleaner, Etc.). The '56-57 distributors are of the old design (no lift-window access for point adjust and centrifical advance below vs above the breaker plate). Typically, I wouldn't expect the judges to ask you to remove your distributor cap.

But, they DO make that request on the earlier cars as it's the breaker plate itself that's embossed with the unique to Corvette numbers. Hence, once the distributor cap is off, then rotor, points and condensor become visible for judging...
