I recently purchased a 427/435 '67 Sting Ray convertible that at some time in the past it had the rear exhaust converted to side exhaust. I am in the process of getting educated on the criteria for NCRS judging and am trying to identify what impact this would have on the scoring process. Any input you have would be great.

Re: '67 Sting Ray side exhaust conversion
Brian,
Congrats on your purchase and enjoy! If you have some time, I would recommend you check the site's archives on the subject as it has been covered in great detail.
For a quick response to your question I would say that particular judging area is costly in points. You will loose all points (100%) for exhaust and some more in other areas that are effected by the conversion. It could be possible to Top Flight, but it would be hard.
Bottom line, if you love 'em . . . leave them.Rob

..and if not, I'll take 'em
Best is as Rob suggested read up on this topic, the brackets, cutouts, etc.
Conversion is simple if they left you some of the obvious brackets to work with, if not...PITA.- Top
