    '56 & '57 Hood Support Help Needed

Guys, I am still working on my '56. My original hood support was cleaned and bolted back in place. Much to my dismay it still looks really dingy. I have looked at a reproduction on another '56 and wonder why it does not judge well. At least this is what I have been told. Does anyone know of someone who can either refurbish my original part or modify a reproduction where it will pass judging? I thank you in advance! Brooks Glover (2141)

    Rich,

Without seeing a pic, I'd say send it to Richmond Pressed Metal (Kevin at 804-233-8371), which is one of the few places that have a military contract and thus still do cad, as opposed to zinc, plating. If you send it, just leave it intact and use a sharpie to recolor the black spring steel washer.

Sorry, I meant Brooks. I was thinking Rich for Richmond! - Bob
