63 Differential

Hi, been a member for over a year, 1st post. Have learned a lot for reading posts, now have a question. I have a 63 SWC and want to have the differential rebuilt. I have good recomendations for both Ikerd's in Indiana and Bairs in PA. What have been others experience with either of these places?

Hi Tim,

I've never had a diff rebuilt but if I did, I would send it to Gary Ramadei. He frequently posts tips and is very helpful to us here on this discussion board. He started a recent post on this topic...

Thanks Guys,
I have spoken with Gary and am shipping the differential to him to have rebuilt. I have always loved sports cars and have owned Porsches, Mercedes as well as Corvettes, but the best part of Corvettes is the great group of owners and their willingnesss to help. And yes I enjoy the Vette.

I'm a little late on the post, but I can't say enough about Gary. He is the best - period. I went round and round with my 69 posi last year with a restoration that rebuilt it. I wish is had known about Gary beforehand. I finally had them remove the unit and send it to Gary. It came back perfect and has been ever since. You made the right choice...
