I finished up the '67 project for our new member from Norway. I feel we have become close friends. He's a great guy and we talk almost every day on the phone. He was here for 2 weeks with his family and another Corvette owner(a 77) in January. Some of you may have met him in Kissimmee at the Regional.
I basically went through the entire car......a body-on. Rebuilt 427, restore everything reachable, engine bay make-over(including firewall repairs from a blown clutch in the 70's), new interior, restored the cluster, seat & shoulder belts(at Charlie's in NJ), new PB & PS, some nose bodywork and paint at a buddies shop to fix some 80's flaws, etc, etc. This all happened in a few months. Summers are short in Norway so I put the '59 project on hold so he can have some fun in the spring with his new ride.
This was my first Big Block re-do. Many of you kicked in and helped in the "Guidance" thread. I thank you all.......I could'nt have done it this quick without your help.
I drove it up on the transport truck heading for the port to be shipped overseas to him. It will be there May 3rd. A friend had his I-Phone and took a pretty cool video of the event. He put it up on Photobucket. Link below.
I'll miss the sound of this one! Nice car.
