58 Bumper supports

I see in the judging guide that there are 6 or 7 different bolt head markings that are used or can be used, (Front) on the bumper siupports, What is correct for judging? Also does the elbow for the heater protrude through the firewall that connects to the 5/8 hose? Thanks, Brad.

Heater elbow does not protrude through.

The reason the JG cites several head marks is the factory purchased these fasteners from different suppliers (same GM PN) and mixed them in inventory. So, it was a matter of luck of the random draw which supplier's part was installed in which position on a given day/specific car...

Jack, almost all of mine are a U marking, with maybe 1 each side I believe are TR Or poss. TH or TW, will these work with the JM? Thanks, Brad.

OK... I pull my copy of the JG book and read.

It lists WB, TR, E, T, U, UR and L.

Now I compare to your post stating U (that's in the list) and TR (another that's in the list). Last, you mention TH or TW. These aren't in the list and probably won't pass inspect depending on how carefully this/that judge looks...
