Couple of questions. How safe is that left side motor mount without the safety cable that was just discussed, for that throttle runaway scenario. I guess that’s a rather speculative question. Rather shouldn’t it be should the NCRS be promoting this safety feature over say like a battery cut off switch? Is mine the old correct one that’s unsafe? That brings up the judging question. The AIM L36, A 9 implies a Feb 9th addition of the heat shield. Do I need to add it (heat shield) for correctness on a March car? Then more importantly can that safety cable be added with that heat shield? How would a car be judged with the cable? Also I do have the V spacers on it now as it's an A/C car. I don't think that that matters much.

I'm sorry I didn't say, mine is a 68 and the ref you mentioned is for 69 and #8 of the Chassis section. Did you see the picture of my mount? Is that the origional type that was problemitic? OH, and that judging question is that the heat shield was for late 68 and all 69 and the AIM dates the change at Feb 9 so would it be needed on a March 8th car? Then, the inference from the judging manual is that the cable will work with the heat shield?????
Thanks
