Original 1966 Corvette Air Filter

Hi Guys,

Can someone give me a description and pictures of an original 1966 Corvette air cleaner. Is it a 14inch, AC A212CW? Should the mesh be square or dimond?

David, there are a couple threads on 212 air filters, you should look at those as this forum doesn't permit posting the same photo twice.

To save time, here is the short list:
Round wire woven
diagonal
embossed - not white printing.

Ronald, can you expand a llittle more on a repro of the A 212CW air filter element. Did someone buy Richard Fortier molds of the original A 212CW? Thanks

Michael,
We had this discussion about a week ago in a very similar thread and its exciting to know something is in the works, I can't wait!

To comment on those molds, one could assume that those molds will produce a filter at the engineering level - that at the point in time AC stopped production. I've seen air filters in dated boxes to 1985, nothing past that, so to go back to 1965 it seems, would require an extensive re-engineering and tooling effort.

Until then, I am going to get a real kick out of those prices on the flea, or was that we should flee with what we see?
