Let me give you a view from the other side of the window. When we had the parts and restoration business, the 800 line was always ringing with questions like, "I bought XX from Hecklers, Hicks, Backorder Inc, etc and I can't figure out how to install it, it doesn't fit, is it correct" on and on.

That was over 10 years ago and we can only imagine how it is today.

I am sure that is not the case in your post, but things like I posted about have a tendancy to make you a litte short when you answer the phone.

Back in my Chevrolet parts days I was occasionally more than a little short. I have been known to just drop the phone receiver in the tin trash can and walk away when someone would ask for Mercury parts, free tech help for something they bought elsewhere, or something like that. I hope I have mellowed over the last 40 years since then but, put back in the same situation, who knows?

In this case the caller was calling about something on Crowley's own web site. To me that's a different situation.

take my opinion with a grain of salt.......i will weigh in on the side of Rowley Corvettes on this one. i just looked at the article and it is 2 full pages of well written instructions with about 40 nice photos. i think it would serve as a good guide for someone wanting to do the job themselves.

it would have taken 1/2 an hour to locate all the photos on one's PC, and chunk them up into 8 or 10 emails. that may sound trivial, but after posting them and the well written article on the web, i can understand why someone would be hesitant to take the extra time and send photos.
