I"m trying to confirm if a stock 1965 5-blade fan has a part number stamped on it as well as any letters or other markings. I'm also looking for an original harrison late '64 or Jan '65 radiator as well.Does anyone have either???? Please advise. Thanks Mike

Re: 1965 Corvette fan
Mike,
5 steel blades, 17 1/8" dia. (measures 8 9/16" from the center of the hub hole to the tip of any blade), 3.00" bolt circle, 2 3/8" hub hole, stamped "H" (for Hayes-Albion, the manufacturer) on the front and "W" on the back side, 5 rivets per blade, and 1 5/8" pitch.
I believe that 1965's had "flat" head rivets like the 1966's and 1967's. The 1963's and 1964's had "domed head" rivets. I believe that it is POSSIBLE that early 1965's MIGHT have had "domed head" rivets. When was your car made?
These fans are always on Ebay but the ones sold "over the counter" may also have a "FRONT" stamping and may NOT have the "W" stamping on the back side.
Hayes-Albion did not stamp a part number or date code on their fans.
If you have AC you need a 7-blade fan and that's another story. Apparently most 1965's w/AC had "domed head" rivets on their fan. Very late 1965's w/AC had "flat" rivets.

Re: 1965 Corvette fan
I don't know why you'd want an original '64-'65 Harrison aluminum radiator - it would be FAR beyond its service life, would most likely leak, be full of scale and corrosion, and can't be repaired. Call Tom DeWitt and get his excellent dated reproduction Harrison if you intend to drive your Corvette.- Top
