Convertible Top Judging at the Nat. Convention

Since my '64 has a hard top option besides the soft top; does the "As delivered" mean that I have to have both tops in place for flight judging? I've had it judged both ways at chapter meets and nothing was said. I'm hoping that my car is chosen for flight judging at this year's national convention and want to be sure that I don't shoot myself in the foot by not having the hard top on the car. I plan to drive my car the 800 miles from Omaha to Detroit and would like to do so with the soft top down for part of the trip.

Any comments would be appreciated.

It will be judged with what ever top you bring. If the hard top, they will look to make sure there is a soft top down inside, but will not judge that top. If only the soft top is brought, then they will judge it only.

That is a long drive in the middle of the summer with the top down. Hat, sun glasses and sun protection for exposed skin, and you'll still arrive with grit in you teeth. Ed's got it too a T, I think if the hard top is pristine, you do better that way.
