63-66 and 67 Top Ignition Shield LH Support difference

Below is a photo of what I believe to be an original 1967 Corvette w/327 LH top ignition shield/spark plug wire support, GM # 3904345, as shown in the 1967 AIM (UPC 6, sheet B3).
The 3904345 support seems to have an additional piece welded on to it (see arrow in photo) that the 1963-1966 Corvette support (GM # 3826071) does not have.

Am I correct or do I have it backwards?

I have noticed that Paragon Corvette sells a reproduction 1963-1967 support (#1433, called a "Ignition Shield Bracket-L.H.") that does not have this extra piece.

My 67 has this wire support with the extra bracket and I believe it's for the powerglide return spring.

I believe that you are correct.

Was it you that told me about the extra "hook" on the 1967 crankcase vent tube for the powerglide spring?

UPC M35, sheet A9, at the top of the page shows the 2 springs connecting to the support and the vent tube.

I think in a previous post we talked about the vent tube with attached tab for the return spring.
