    66 oil baffle

I am rebuilding my 66 300HP and would like to know if the oil baffle "canister" should be empty or have some sort of filter material in it. Mine is empty.

Bob, a picture? It sounds like the oil canister and that should have a filter in it. PF141 most likely.

      Bob -

The oil vapor separator can in the lifter valley only has some baffles in it; it's all welded steel, and has no filter material in it.

It functions as a liquid-vapor separator to prevent liquid oil ingestion through the PCV system.
