    1963 Color Combination

How many REAL Daytona Blue / red interior cars do you guys know of? Any speculation as to how many produced? I just looked at one with a real trim tag.

    thanks

    Tim

Here is a pic of that W.N.Y. car. Took a few pics of it at the yearly Corvette show at Glen Campbell Chevrolet this past summer.

Here in Lexington, KY there was a blue/red fuel coupe in '63, he was a college student here from Louisville. BEUTIFUL car!

Bro-in-law had an auto 63 ragtop, original engine and trans, daytona blue red interior. Sprayed white and interior dyed black when he got it.

              Hi Tim,
I'd say that Blue/Red is a pretty rare color combo for '63.

From a rough sampling of around 3,000 1963's, 415 cars claim to be Daytona Blue.
The majority of these 415 cars are Blue/Blue with just 35 cars or so being Blue/Saddle.
Only 15 cars claim Daytona Blue/Red.
Of course, a lot of cars were painted Red and are hiding their true identity.
              So let's say 100-200 max Blue/Red 63's??
Did you note the info for this car?

I've seen a few Saddle/Red 63's but don't think I ever saw one in person.
              Both are beautiful combos.

              Syd

                Re: 1963 Color Combination

A couple of years ago I had a FI coupe in that combo although exterior had been painted silver. I could never imagine going back to correct colors until I saw a convertible at Bloomington. It was very striking and not offensive like I imagined.
