Can anyone explain how the male side of the seat belt threads through the hambone and the tension bar? The repro belts I purchase 21 years ago are sown onto the hambones so there is no adjustment in length on the male side. I want to cut the male side loose from the hambone and then thread it through the hambone and through the tension bar to make it shorter.

I do have the 1960 AIM and could not get any details out of the tiny drawing. Thanks Anthony for digging up the thread with John's hand drawn sketch. That is perfect. The Technical Discussion Board is absolutely priceless!- Top
