    seat tracks

What color were the seat tracks and mounts for a 69 corvette coupe. Looked for pictures but can't find any. Trying to refinish mine but I am stumped............thanks for the help members.

Kevin, In my 70/72 JM they say black phosphate, I would think the 68/69 tracks were the same. If you have your JM I would look it up. they may spell it out in the interior section.

        Kevin,

I did my 1967 tracks with Rust-Oleum "fast dry" #2089 Dark Gray Primer which is widely available at Home Depot etc.

There was still sections where the original finish was still visable and I was unable to detect any difference between the original black phosphate and the new primer paint.

I also incorporated the approriate carpet cut outs and flaps as specified.

I was VERY pleased with the results.

Kevin, sometimes if the plating is not to bad, just alittle light steel wool and then a light coat of oil, just enough oil to keep from rusting. If they have been already painted, you can also try Eastwoods black phosphate paint. which is pretty close also.
