Need to adjust washer nozzle but frozen

I need to adjust my washer nozzles a bit to get them better aimed. But the brass ball is frozen. I believe they are the originals.

What can I soak them in to free up the ball?

I tried putting a pin in there to move them, and I'm afraid I'll break the pin off trying to get them to move.

    Thoughts?

    Chris,

Are they off the car? If so, you might try soaking them in old fashioned white vinegar. If there is mineral build up from the water that was used, the vinegar will take care of it freeing up the brass nozzle.

Chris, I removed my squirtters and soaked them in PB blaster penetrating solution and they freed up very well. Use a stiff needle used for sewing on jackets and heavier cloth/leather. Worked for me. Gary

        Chris,

As I recall, the brass ball is actually encased in a nylon socket. You can see it if you use a magnifying glass. I used Kroil penetrating oil to lubricate ball and then let it soak for a day. I used a T-pin and inserted it in the ball and it moved easily. Just take your time and be careful.

Chris, I use a welding torch tip cleaner wire to move the ball. The wire is soft enough to NOT break, just bend, and there are multiple wire sizes in the cleaner pack. The wires are also serrated so they clean out the hole.

Thanks guys for all the great suggestions. I'm going to pull the nozzles off and start them soaking.
